Hi, my name is Lindsay. I love traveling whenever possible and both cities and natural landscapes excite me. I’m a huge music fan and an avid reader. Seeing Boards of Canada or Aphex Twin in the UK is on my bucket list. Experiencing My Morning Jacket at Red Rocks is my personal church. My favorite books are fiction, more specifically, magical realism. I’m currently reading One Hundred Years of Solitude and I can’t put it down. Independent, dialogue-heavy films are my favorite and I’m slowly opening up to the idea of sci-fi. Watching American Beauty in a dark room in college blazed the path for more dramatic films. Humor is just as important to me so I watch stand-up on comedy a pretty regular basis. I’m mildly obsessed with my dog Page. He’s a Catahoula Leopard dog named after the keyboardist from Phish. My husband is a SUPER PHAN. I just thought the name was cute.

 

Why am I a therapist? I love working with clients who have struggled because I’ve been through it myself. I have a deep understanding of what it’s like to feel self-critical, inadequate, addicted, different etc. because I’ve lived it and have found my way through. I believe it’s because of my personal experiences that I am able to connect with people on a very real and intimate level. For this I am incredibly grateful. Also, getting help from someone not in your “real life” is different. There’s a level of raw honesty that comes with confidentiality. It’s an honor to hear someone’s truth.
